EU tyre sector had good first half year
The European tyre replacement market has had an excellent first half year. This gives confidence for the rest of the year, says ETRMA, the European association of tyre manufacturers and distributors.
In the first six months of this year, the members of the sector association put almost 104 million tyres on the market. Not surprisingly, the biggest plus was realised in the second quarter of this year, which was significantly better than Q2 of 2020. Due to the two strong quarters this year, the first half of 2021 is even better than that of 2019. In short, tyre retailers in Europe are looking positive.
